More Story to Experience

A reader just reported he is waiting for the next book, that the story had only begun for Pitcairn. Frankly, that comment caused me to pause.
I am intending a trilogy, and the first draft of the second book is complete with much revision to follow. But Pitcairn is not in this next book.
Interestingly enough he does reappear in the third book, though now I’ve got to contemplate what I was intending.
And in this pause of contemplating, I am aware that no story ever really ends, does it? At most, an element of plot comes to closure, but there is always another element arising. And it pleases me greatly that Pitcairn has more story to experience.
